Is it the intent of FBC section 716.5 and 716.5.2 to limit the use of opening protectives to fire doors and "metal" fire shutters only or does a 2 hour fire rated perimeter curtain that has been UL 10b and UL 10d certified meet the intent of this section?

Commentary:
Where allowed by code, Referenced Section is for Fire Door and Shutter Assemblies, there is an assumption that the proposed product to be used, would fall under this category. As such, Section 716.5 has an exception (1) that allows Labeled protective assemblies that conform to the requirements of this section OR UL 10A, UL 14B and UL 14C for Tin-clad fire door assemblies. UL 10D is not in any of the allowance exceptions
