Is it the intent of R310.1 of the 2010 Residential Building Code to include ONLY sleeping rooms need to comply to the Emergency Escape and Rescue Openings and do Exterior doors comply to Egress?

The answer to the question is it the intent of R310.1 of
the FBC Residential
to include only sleeping areas. The answer is yes,
emergency egress is
required from sleeping areas only.
The answer to the question, Do exterior doors comply with
egress
requirements, the answer is yes if the exterior door goes
directly to the
outside from the sleeping area and meets the minimum size
requirements
for emergency egress openings.
