Question
Is it the intent of section 109.2 to authorize the local building department to charge a permit fee to the general contractor based on the full value of all improvements including the full value of all subcontractors work. And, additionaly require his subcontractors to apply for a subcontractor permit based on the full value of the subcontractors portion of work ?

Yes the code and law authorizes the local jurisdiction to
charge a permit fee to cover the costs of enforcing the
Florida Building Code.

Commentary
Regulation of Fee Schedules is not within the scope of the
buildng code. Fee schedules, and the specific application
of the schedule, is adopted by the local commission or
council (jurisdiction).
