Question

Is it the intent of Section 1403 to be applied to Single Family Residential Detached Dwellings? Is any part of Chapter 14 applicable to Single Family Residential Detached Dwellings?

No.

Commentary

A builder or designer may elect to follow provisions contained in Chapter 14, provided they are not less stringent than those of the FBCR snd such action is approved by the BO. It goes without saying this applies to dwellings within the scope of the FBCR.
