Question
Is it the intent of FBC Section 101.2 to classify 1 and 2 family resort dwellings as 1 and 2 family dwellings under the Florida Building Code, Residential, subject only to the special use provisions of the FBC?

The Building Code classification most likely is R2 occupancy.
Commentary
Analysis:
These occupancies closely resemble vacation timeshare
properties due to:
1. The transient nature of the occupants.
2. These units are typically set up for maximum occupancy
and the tenants would not be familiar with the layout.
