  • Question: Is it the intent of Florida Building Code - Building Section 423.1 to apply the State Requirements for Educational Facilities (SREF) to a charter school operated by and located on the campus of a state community college?

Yes. When charter schools are operated in conjunction with
local school board districts, Florida Building Code -
Building Section 423 and the State Requirements for
Educational Facilities (SREF)are applicable.

Commentary:

The above listed FBC and SREF requirements do not apply to a privately run / operated education facility.
