- Omitting a step in the Manufacturer's Installation Instructions
Question
Referencing FBCR609. Is it permitted to omit/skip a step in the Manufacturer's Installation Instructions, specifically deleting the primer coat application prior to painting when the primer step is specifically required by the Manufacture and written in the Manufactures Installation Instructions? The Manufacture requires the primer step to maintain the integrity of the door and is required to be completed to meet the requirements of the Manufacturer's Lifetime Warranty. Failure to do so in the instructions states it voids the warranties.
