Question
I have a question regarding required fixture counts for a beer garden restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating occupancy count's requirement is being provided with an interior bathroom. There is an accessible public bathroom adjacent to the beer garden. Will Florida Building Code allow the outdoor public bathrooms to serve the needs of the outdoor diners?

This is ultimately an AHJ decision. As a general rule, businesses need to provide facilities based on the total occupancy and use of the facility.
The plumbing fixture count is based on the number of occupants served by the facility, inside and outside, unless an alternate is presented and approved by the AHJ.
