Does Section 454.2.17 allow a combination of the removable mesh barrier described in Section 454.2.17.1.1 with alarms described in Section 454.2.17.1.9?

Reading further to section 454.2.17.1.12, you find language that allows for the combination of barrier components provided all components "meet the barrier requirements of this section" (454.2.17).

Commentary
Just to clarify - 454.2.1.17.1.1 referenced in the question does not describe the removable mesh barrier - that section describes the barrier requirements in general. 454.2.17.1.13 describes the removable child barrier. 454.17.1.15 describes mesh safety barrier. It would be a good idea to read through all of 454.2.17.1 - 454.2.17.16 as there are multiple requirements that can be satisfied in several different ways.
