Is it the intent of Section R316.4 that an approved Thermal Barrier material such as DC315 can be used to separate foam plastic insulation from the interior of a garage and also meet the requirements of R302.6 (Dwelling-garage fire separation) when applied to the garage side as listed on Table R302.6?
