Interpretation #8330

The 1st paragraph of the section lists (3) criteria for hoistway opening protection but it is unclear if all of the protections in the list are needed or if the list should is treated as individual criteria - which could completely change the interpretation. The question, is hoistway opening protection needed if the hoistway connects more than 3 stories, is required to be enclosed within a shaft enclosure BUT DOES NOT meet any of the 5 conditions listed int he 3rd criteria?
