- Semi-enclosed loading bay in an open parking garage
Question
Would an enclosed loading bay, which is separated from an open parking garage by walls or fence and a coiling security grille, and which serves as the loading / unloading are for S-1, M, A-2 and B uses be classified as an accessory to the uses it serves or as an extension of the S-2 open parking garage? Or would it even fit the definition for a U, Utility and Miscellaneous classification?

The loading/unloading area is not accessory to the parking structure. If it is not separated, then the whole structure would have to meet the more restrictive code compliance.
