Question
Is the intent of section 705.2 to include outdoor areas along a property line where the outdoor area recesses from an adjacent exterior wall?

Based on the drawing provided and basic requirements, the requirements to determine the minimum distance of the projection are based on the line used to determine the Fire Separation Distance (FSD). This could be a lot line or an imaginary line. Walls closer than 2 feet to the line used to determine the fire separation distance are not permitted to have projections.
