Question
According to Existing Buildings, Section 708.5 REROOFING - Reinstallation of Materials, Is the removal and reinstallation of all of the structural metal roofing panels on a building prohibited, since they are not specifically listed as items that may be reinstalled?

The installation of used materials requires the approval of the Building Official. If the materials meet the requirements for wind, impact and other applicable items, have a valid NOA as well as being in good shape, the Building Official should consider allowing it.
Commentary
It may be difficult to re-use roofing metal materials as they most likely have holes in them. A method for ensuring a good and leakproof installation may be a requirement for consideration
