Question
Is it the intent of Section 1018.1, Exception 4, to allow single exit suites with less than 30 occupants within a larger building with more than 30 total occupants to have corridors within the single exit suite that are not required to be 1 hour rated?

The answer is probably no. The door from the suite is not an
exit, but an exit access doorway per 1015.1 and Table 1015.1
as referenced in 1018.1 Exception 4, provided the occupant
load is less than 49 per Table 1015.1.

Commentary
Additional information may be needed or not provided. For
example, there is a common path requirement that also
must be applied (1014.3). Is the 75' from the furthest point
inside the suites to the exit door leading to the rated
corridor? (the point at which there are 2 remote exits?)
