Question
Are steel track and studs complying with ASTM C645 acceptable to use in fire rated partitions. Example Clark Dietrich Pro Stud 15mil which appears to be thinner than allowed in section 2517.5.1.

The studs and tracks must be part of a tested
assembly or equivalent to the studs and tracks
used in a tested assembly. The tested assembly
referred to is a fire tested assembly per ASTM E
119.
