Question
Is it the intent of code section 2601.1 that the installation of plumbing, appliances, equipment and systems not addressed by this code shall comply with the applicable provisions of the Florida Building Code, Plumbing?

If, based on the question and comment, the requestor really
wants to know if the new 50-foot hot water distance
limitation in 607.2 FBC-P applies equally to the Residential
Code, the FBC-R does of course address hot water, but does
not impose a specific distance limitation. This response
does not consider any requirements of the Energy
Conservation volume.

Commentary
There have been several failed attempts to provide similar
wording in the Residential volume. To quote the IRC
Commentary, "If the subject matter is covered in the IRC,
then it is intended that the IRC will provide all of the
needed coverage for that subject. In other words, it is not
intended that the IRC be applied with additional requirements
plucked from the other codes."
