Question
Is it the intent of the code to limit the amount of slope in a floor of a building brought on by dewatering on adjacent property.

We are not sure why the requester cites Section 1401.
Protection of adjoining property is covered in Section 3307.
The section requires protection of adjoining public and
private property from damage during construction,
remodeling, and demolition work. Protection is required by
Section 3307.1. It would also seem the process has violated
Section 1804.1 by allowing settlement of the foundation of
buildings on the adjacent property.
