Question
Is it the intent of section 1003.4 to require an oil and sand interceptor for a fire truck wash out station connected to the City sanitary sewer system.

This is a judgement call by the Building Official. While an
interceptor may not be required for ordinary vehicle
washing, if they are pressure washing undercarriages or
performing vehicle maintenance, an interceptor might be
called for.
