Question

Is it the intent of section 2508.1 to use reference you to table 2508.1 in essence guiding you to use GA-216 as the attachment standard for Gypsum Board?

The section requires compliance with GA-216 for gypsum
board installation. However, if it is a fire resistant
assembly, the terms of the listing must be met or the fire
resistance rating is negated.

Commentary
