Question
Is it the intent of 601.2 to have the word "sanitation" in the second sentence? The first sentence talks about safety and energy efficiency. The second sentence mentions safety and sanitation. Should sanitation be changed to energy efficiency?

No. While the format is a bit different, the base code
refers to sanitation as well as does the 2012 IECC. Florida
added the language regarding energy efficiency, which does
not appear in either the 2009 or 2012 IECC - The language
was the same in the 2004 FBCEB.

The wording regarding energy efficiency was purposedly
added by Florida.
