Is it the intent of paragraph 611.1 that equipment supports be raised or replaced to comply with table 1509.7 of FBC-Building?

Section 611.1 does not apply as the provisions of FBCB
102.8 apply. In addition, Section 611.1 invokes
compliance with FBCB Chapter 15. FBCB Section 1510 would
apply which invokes Section 1509.7.

Commentary
102.8 Existing mechanical equipment.
An agency or local government may not
require that existing mechanical
equipment on the surface of a roof be
installed in compliance with the
requirements of the Florida Building
Code until the equipment is required to
be removed or replaced.
1510.1 General.
Materials and methods of application
used for recovering or replacing an
existing roof covering shall comply with
the requirements of Chapter 15.
1509.7 Mechanical units.
Roof mounted mechanical units shall be
mounted on curbs raised a minimum of 8
inches (203 mm) above the roof surface,
or where roofing materials extend
beneath the unit, on raised equipment
supports providing a minimum clearance
height in accordance with Table 1509.7.
