Question

There is a new use designation entitled "training and skill development". Does this apply to an indoor shooting range?

No. The appropriate classification for an indoor shooting
range with an occupant load of greater than 50 would
be an A-3 occupancy.

Commentary

The occupancy classifications of the Florida Fire Prevention Code and Florida Building Code are not meant to be interchangeable between the two codes.
