Question
Is it the intent of 404.6, exception 1 to not include the doors to comply with smoke partition requirements.

If there are glass doors in the glass wall, they would
need to be protected by sprinklers as for
the wall. Doors of other types would need
to be rated. NOTE: the section is
not calling for a smoke partition, but a
fire barrier. If the doors are glass they
are acting as a smoke barrier and must be
protected by the sprinklers like the glass
wall.
