Is it the intent of code to allow impact and fire resistant glazing that is designed as part of a fully enclosed structure if it satisfies all the requirements of Section 705 without being counted as an opening and thus held to the requirements of Section 705.8 and the subsequent table?

limited per Table 705.8 for protected
openings. In this case protection refers
to fire protection, not impact protection
from missiles.
