Question
Is it the intent of Section 410.1 to require a drinking fountain in a gas station (mercantile occupancy) of less than 1,200 SF when water is served free with cups from fountain dispenser?

YES it is the intent of 410.1 and table 403.1 that drinking
fountains are required in a gas station.
410.1 Specifically states that where water is served in
restaurants they do not need to provide a drinking
fountain. This would not apply to other types of
occupancies.
