Question
Is it the intent of the exception in this section to be that any work (repairs, alteration, change of occupancy, and relocation of any building) done to any educational facility be done under Chapter 4 of Florida Building Code: Building? Further, does the intent further stimpulate that this section never applies to educational facilities?

The exception in 101.2, Existing Building Code was
specifically put in to exempt public education (K-12 and
colleges) from the Exisitng Building Code. For public
education, the requirements for repairs, alterations, and
changes of occupancy are found in Section 423, Florida
Building Code, Building.
