Question
Is it the intent of section 1003.3 to not allow concrete grease interceptors if they do not meet the requirements of ASME A112.14.3 or PDI G101?

The current wording of this section does in fact prohibit
the use of concrete tanks that do not meet the appropriate
standard listed in this section for systems discharging to
PUBLIC SEWER.
However, an exception has been added to the 2010 FPC which
states that interceptors that are designed to comply with
Rule 64 E-6 of Florida Administrative code do not have to
comply with the ASME or PDI standards.

Commentary
In accordance with 1003.5 Outdoor Grease interceptors for
ONSITE sewage treatment and disposal systems appear to be
allowed.
