Question

Is it the intent of The Florida Building Code Residential to require emergency escape openings for Townhouse buildings (more than 2 units per building) equipped with automatic sprinklers installed in accordance with NFPA requirements?

Yes, secondary means of escape is required if designing per
the FBC-Residential. There is no exemption based on
sprinklers.
