  • Question: Is it the intention of the reading of this, that all buildings equipped with a garage shall have a dedicated circuit for an electric vehicle use only?
  • Comment: When a home is built under this code, does the home have to have a dedicated circuit for this vehicle only, along with the other already required dedicated circuits for the garage under NEC/FBC FBC Code Reference Chapter 37 E3702.13 Electric vehicle branch circuit. Outlets installed for the purpose of charging electric vehicles shall be supplied by a separate branch circuit. Such circuit shall not supply other outlets. (210.17)
